The Concert Experience

The Concert Experience is a wonderful tool for people who would like to familiarize themselves with the workings of a concert – in the typical Maihar Gharana style (tradition).
The performance can be viewed on its own, or by clicking on the various questions to see further videos, by Alam Khan and Swapan Chaudhuri, answering commonly asked questions.

Other areas of the website offer examples of various Ragas (melodies), Talas (rhythms), and recordings of many of the instruments heard in Indian classical music today. There is much to watch and listen to throughout the website, all of which make this a very useful tool for educators and students.
