This portable sitar is made by Sanjay Sharma of Rikhi Ram's Music. Trim and sleek, it has a bright sound acoustically, and has 2 built in contact mikes on the face for amplification. The body is made of aged tun wood (as opposed to a gourd). It has 4 main strings, 2 chikaris and 13 sympathetics. It comes with a form fitting fiberglass case.
